At last year’s Edinburgh TV Festival, Disney+ commissioners challenged UK producers to develop shows with a sense of scale and with real ambition. This year, commissioning team Johanna Devereaux, Lee Mason and Sean Doyle will explore how the Disney qualities of optimism, hope, joy and a sense of community can translate into inclusive storytelling which doesn’t get dated. Disney+’s first UK drama original, Wedding Season, will also be in the Festival’s Masterclass thread this year.
