BBC Two controller and Edinburgh Television Festival Advisory Chair Patrick Holland talks about the year just gone and the path ahead for BBC Two and BBC Four. With powerful documentaries, big-ticket drama and comedy, hits including Race Across the World, and reimagined staples such as Springwatch, BBC Two has had a successful year. He will detail what is working on the channel, what is coming up, and what the commissioning teams want.
With BBC Four coming off BAFTA wins, Holland looks ahead for both channels. He will be joined by Clare Sillery, head of documentary commissioning, and Jack Bootle, head of commissioning, science and natural history, who will drill down into trends and wish-lists in the areas they handle
