Sky: The Genre Directors
Edinburgh TV Festival 2021
•
37m
As Sky ramps up production and its overall programming budget, the bosses of the key genres spell out their plans. The directors of drama, comedy, docs and factual, arts and entertainment, and kids – Gabriel Silver, Jon Mountague, Poppy Dixon, Phil Edgar Jones, and Lucy Murphy respectively – break down what is on their shopping lists. The genre chiefs will talk about what works for Sky at the moment, their own slates, what distinguishes Sky from the competition, and why producers should bring their best ideas to the Comcast-owned company when there are so many places to shop ideas.
