Maitlis, host of the chart-topping Global podcast The News Agents, delivered a seminal MacTaggart lecture titled “Boiling Frog: Why We Have to Stop Normalising the Absurd.” It spoke to the complex world of modern journalism and the challenges of holding power to account. It was her first major address since leaving the BBC and came shortly before the launch of The News Agents.
