With an increasing number of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic contributors calling out bad experiences on TV shows this session explores what it’s like to be the black or brown one on a factual or reality show. Our panel reflect on what persuaded them to take part, how they felt about the way they were portrayed in the final programmes and the response they had from friends, family and the wider community. Does a lack of representation within key decision makers in the industry negatively impact how we portray and support our diverse contributors?
