BBC Three has had a banner year, with Normal
People and other shows striking a chord
with its core audience and well beyond. The
success of Three and its ability to reach the
younger demographics that the BBC must
secure is such that there is talk of it becoming
a full linear channel once more.
Having hit her stride as controller, Fiona
Campbell reflects on a strong 2020, and how
the BBC Three team plan to build on that
success over the rest of the year and into 2021.
Campbell will talk about commissioning and
trends and connecting with creatives and
viewers from all parts of the UK. She will be

commissioning, who will delve into what is
making people laugh and where comedy is
