We’re incredibly excited to be bringing together this award-winning panel who not only write, produce and appear on screen, but also run their own independent production companies. And they’re not alone. In the last five years, TV has seen an explosion of headlines about the rise of on-screen talent establishing their own indies, often in a quest for more authorship, creative input, and growing a new generation of talent. But what is making TV really like when you’re so well-known for being on it.

In this session, we’ll discuss the motivation and chain of events that led our panellists to start up on their own; the risk involved in having an indie while also juggling other roles, measuring success and sharing thoughts on the industry they’re now helping to run – what should we be proud of and what needs to change?
