Channel 5 has the smallest commissioning team of the UK public service broadcasters, but it is a group of commissioners that continue to help the channel punch above its weight. The team prides itself on innovation and flexibility, and deputy director of programmes Sebastian Cardwell will join the Festival lineup to talk about the broadcaster’s line-up, future plans, and needs. Daniel Pearl, Denise Senevirante, and Adrian Padmore will join Cardwell to get further into the detail and unpack the strategies and requirements across their areas, which span factual, fact-ent, and current affairs.
